I am athletic, and love to run, rollerblade, I am a very active person. I am college educated, finishing my BA, and hope to continue yo post-graduate studies. I speak Spanish fluently, and am currently learning nearly all of the Romance languages: Portuguese, French, Italian, even Catalan; there are other languages I study as well. I really love languages, and I spend a lot of time watching foreign films, and listening to music in different languages (of course I listen to all that other stuff to, and if I don't listen to it make me a mixed tape, put me on to it), artists like Caetano Veloso, Amalia Rodrigues, Alejandro Saenz, Andrea Boccelli, Marc Anthony; and those are just a few examples. My tastes are diverse, and I am constantly trying to learn something, I use music and movies as tools to learn, because my greatest ambition is to travel the world. I love travelling and thus far have been to Puerto Rico, Germany, Italy, Austria, and several states. I enjoy all kinds of food, and I love watching cooking shows, and watching these shows have definitely paid dividends, I get down in the kitchen. I own cookbooks: Daisy Cooks!; Italian; Spanish and Portuguese Cuisine; and books on pretty much any other subject you might be interested. I collect books. I am always in search of another good book to read in the city. I am always in search of a new good restaurant, bar/lounge, show: whether it be Comedy, or Broadwa......

The poet's greatest fear - that when finally he receives audience, he has nothing of great worth to say. But i'm not much of a poet, and sometimes what I say is more worthwhile than others. It generally doesn't stop me talking, though. I just moved back to the US after 9 years spent abroad, and I'm adjusting to life in New York, life as an adult, life as a fleeting experience the pace of which accelerates when the knowledge of its passing enters one's awareness. I'd like to meet somebody, it's been a little while. I'm good fun when inspired, and wittily cynical when I'm not, so either way you win....

As much as I would thoroughly enjoy a casual encounter, I'd rather wait it out for something real. I have a keen mind and a good heart, I'm a mature, funny, openminded person and quite frankly, hmm, how to put this... a freak? I think one should carry themselves with a certain amount of class? in general, but once in the bedroom (or wherever) all bets are off. Sex isn't everything but nonetheless important so if you're a timid man that doesn't know what he's doing, can't last long, doesn't have much to work with and doesn't know how to please a woman, don't bother responding. And of course you can expect the same in return from me. Ahem, I like the occasional book, I love all kinds of movies(favorites include resevoir dogs, boondock saints, full metal jaket and the like), I don't walk around preaching my politics but if it comes up I'm extremely vocal..let's just say if you like any bush other than on a woman or in a yard we're gonna have words. I have an incredible singing voice that I can't help but share, but I don't mind being told to shut up. I like almost all kinds of music, not a big country fan, but love everything from Billie Holiday to Sepultura, Eminem to Bad Religion. I'm fairly laid back and easy to keep happy, just don't lie, cheat or steal from me and it's all gravy. I quit smoking a year and a half ago(applause) and my body decided to let me pay for the 15+ years I did smoke, so I'm no longer 105 lbs like in my picture but I still look good and if I get a recent pic I'll post it, I had hair to my waist but recently donated it (standing O)so now it's a few inches below my shoulders. I like seeing any sport live but only enjoy football and boxing on tv. Alright that should do it for now, I'm also looking to make friends so girls don't be shy....

Well, what to say. I'm a 27 year old college student who works as well. I've gotten a late start in my academic career, but I do enjoy learning new things and am doing well. I recently discovered that I have HPV, and am attempting to deal with that. I was sort of in denial for awhile, but have recently accepted the truth and am attempting to make the best of it. I consider myself intelligent, caring and honest. I seek similar qualities in those I date. I'm just looking to make life a little less lonely for another human being, and myself in the process....
